Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains exactly how you can request the deletion of your personal data from DMDrop, including data collected through the Instagram integration. We offer two methods — a self-service button inside the app and an email request for anyone who can no longer access their account.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, the following data is permanently removed or anonymised within 30 days of your request:

  • Your DMDrop user account (name, email, profile picture)
  • Your creator profile (display name, bio, username, storefront)
  • Connected Instagram account(s) — access tokens are revoked and deleted
  • All automation campaigns and their configuration
  • Automation logs (comment text, commenter data)
  • Digital products, affiliate products, and lookbooks you created
  • Your Dodo Payments customer reference (subscription records)

⚠️ What we are legally required to retain

Order records and transaction history may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with accounting and tax regulations. These records are anonymised — your name and email are replaced with a pseudonymous identifier and the data is inaccessible for any other purpose.

Method 1 — Delete your account yourself (recommended)

  1. Sign in to DMDrop

    Go to dmdrop.app/sign-in and log in to your account.

  2. Open your Profile settings

    Click your avatar in the top-right corner or navigate to dmdrop.app/dashboard/profile.

  3. Go to the "Account & Security" tab

    Click the "Account & Security" tab at the top of your profile page.

  4. Click "Delete my account"

    Scroll to the Danger Zone section and click the red "Delete my account" button.

  5. Confirm deletion

    A confirmation dialog will appear. Type "DELETE" to confirm. The deletion cannot be undone.

Once confirmed, your data is scheduled for immediate deletion from our active databases. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address. Residual copies in database backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Method 2 — Email request (if you can't access your account)

If you cannot access your account (lost password, deactivated account, or you are a customer who never created a creator account), send an email to:

Subject line:

Data Deletion Request — [your registered email address]

Include in the email body:

  • • Your registered email address or Instagram username
  • • A brief description of the data you want deleted
  • • Whether you are a creator or a customer / fan

We will respond to your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.

Instagram / Facebook login users

If you signed up using Facebook Login or connected your Instagram account to DMDrop via Meta's platform, you can also request data deletion directly through Facebook. Meta will send a signed deletion callback to DMDrop's servers, which will automatically trigger the same deletion process described above.

To trigger this: go to your Facebook settings → Apps and Websites → find DMDrop → click "Remove" or "Delete activity". You will receive a confirmation URL and a deletion tracking code once the process is complete.
